EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Fife Housing Register partners commissioned an online survey using surveymonkey to consult tenants, housing applicants and other service users to ask for their opinion about proposed changes to our ‘common assessment of need’ in relation to overcrowding, under-occupation and suspensions.

A total of 1,078 responses were received, with 87% (938) of the respondents identifying as having a live application on the Fife Housing Register. Overall this represents an 8.8% response rate from Fife Housing Register applicants who have a live housing application eligible for offers.

43% (269) are tenants or joint tenants of a private landlord;

20% (125) are staying with friends or family;

14% (88) are homeowners and;
