Housing for Older People
As we get older and our needs change, it is important to think about where we live and the suitability of our home.
Older Persons Housing might interest you if you want to live independently. Perhaps you'd like a smaller and easier to manage home or like the idea of having someone to call on if there is an emergency.
When exploring Older Persons Housing, you may wish to consider:
- Location and size of property
- Level of support available
- Costs you would be liable for
- Rules that might affect you, such as whether you're allowed to keep a pet
- Transport links
Search for Older Persons Housing using the Accommodation Search Directory provided by the Elderly Accommodation Council.
Fife Council offers three types of housing for older people: Retirement, Very Sheltered, & Extra Care Housing. For more information, click here.
